Meet Michael Hudkins, CPA
Michael L. Hudkins, CPA, has been accountant and consultant to a variety of small businesses and professional practices all of his career. From retail stores, Doctors, Dentists, and Lawyers, to development of a Light Sport Aircraft Manufacturing company, to Finance Director of a small, coastal Florida City, he has developed skills in organizational and practice management, operational reviews and profitability enhancement, mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs, and succession planning.
He has also served as Chief Financial Officer of a mid-sized, multi-location 50 lawyer law firm, and Chief Operating Officer of two other mid-sized multi-office law firms. He has co-authored the book “Lawyer’s Guide to Strategic Planning” published by the American Bar Association, and has led strategic planning initiatives for many businesses.
As a former Adjunct Professor of Accounting at DePauw University, he understands accounting from theoretical perspective. As a founding partner of a mid-west CPA firm, Michael understands accounting from a practical application perspective, and agrees that solid, and accurate financial reporting is the foundation for effective management decisions.
